Hi all,

New here. About to take the plunge into another expensive hobby that I suspect the formula n+1 applies to. Anyway, can anyone please give me your thoughts on this watch. No idea if it's fake or reasonably priced. Thanks I advance.

As you're new here I won't yell at you.

But please read the title of this thread.

Especially the last three words.

You'll get much more attention if you post a thread in the Vintage Omega section and post photos, as well as the eBay link.

Hello

I don't think it's fake. Check the ref inside the caseback. I think it's a 9168. th emovement should be a 1342.

When it's an automatic movement, it's always written on the dial. Here, I see no problem.

I was confused with automatic movement, really helpful people in this forum, thanks!!
It does say Quartz on the watch face. Perhaps you could discuss your confusion with the seller, in case you wanted an automatic movement, but bought a quartz without realizing that.

Hi all, I’m a complete novice here. Found an old Omega watch in a clear out. My mother bought it from a charity shop years ago. I’d like to get your opinion on whether it is real or not. I appreciate you might need to see the mechanism to make an informed opinion, but wanted to get check in case you can see things that make it obviously fake!

much appreciated!

As far as I know, that is fake for the reason that Omega didn’t engrave the outside of the case back like that. Someone may correct me if I’m wrong.

Also there’s “Costelletion”.
