Looks like the fake 165.024 kits that have been on ebay a while are really starting to spread, this one to a reasonably well known dealer:

it’s very odd. Dit surely isn’t difficult to spot it’s got “some issues” so why do they move ahead?

I suppose the best solution to your questions is to ask @Tmorehouse51 .

Not much to ask.. he says it all

"Up for sale is a vintage Omega Seamaster 300 that has been restored from top to bottom. The watch has a new old stock genuine Omega crystal, crown, and caseback as well as the hands. The dial, bezel, and case have been refinished to factory spec. The watch is fully water resistant again and the movement has been completely overhauled by TM Watch Co"

Well Omega did some design flops in the 80's - but this gets slightly worse. Bonus fingers from junk shop seller.
