But isn't the Calibre 3861 supposed to have a silicon hairspring and be METAS certified? That's supposed to be antimagnetic to 15000 Gauss (from what I've heard that's stronger than most magnetic fields we're ever likely to encounter).
OP has an 1863, a joke of a watch according to him.

pay attention and dont take orders the rest of your life.

Are you saying you didn't pay attention and ended up being ordered to buy a moonwatch?

Here is a question. Man-up

Quite frankly son, this is what losers do. You buy a new car and it does not work, its a lemon. Going back to fix it again is not an option. Its a new watch that was never new and never satisfied their requirements with me (a quality watch). That is why they got the box and papers and saw me walk out the door. Omega is selling sub standard watches now, pay attention and dont take orders the rest of your life. If you do that- perhaps you can afford a Rolex one day. Never going cheapo Omega again. Bye nerds.

Nooo! Please dont go Mugabi. We will all man up and stop being nerds and losers if you continue posting. But please use the correct sub forum:

Tell me a joke! The OF humor thread :-D | Omega Forums

If you do decide to go, thanks for all the fun times, you are like flower that bloomed and withered away much too early.

Being told to 'man-up' by someone who is quite literally having a temper tantrum for all to see is quite amusing.

Farewell, internet hardman. Keep spittin' those truth bullets.

Off topic but may I ask what bracelet is that on your FOIS? Is it an Uncle Seiko? Forstner? Vintage Omega? Thanks in advance.
Uncle Seiko.

Any watch from any brand can fail, it's just what's going to happen when they're made in the million per year range and entirely by machines.

I'd have thought the Rolex would be even more likely to fail using that logic, if they're struggling to meet demand and rushing the watches to market as fast as they can then corners are probably being cut to get products out the door and into grey market dealers inventories to sell at double MSRP to buyers like yourself.

Feel free to return/sell the watch and buy one however if that's what you want - hopefully it works out better for you.

That’s a question?
I can't take the rant from a person who doesn't know a question from a statement too seriously.

Toyotas fall apart? 🤨
Yep like all complex things they can go wrong, dunno how many broken “unbreakable” Hilux’s I’ve seen over the years. All whilst being told how tough they are by the owner.
Proof that if you repeat the same bullshit line long enough, some stupid bastard will believe it.

Toyota are masters at reflecting in past glories, back when the FJ45 Landcruisers and KE series Corolla’s roamed the earth that go forever reputation was justified , but just like everyone else, they’ve been built to a price since, and some of the parsimonious, tight arse, cheap jack engineering I’ve seen from them since, has left me unimpressed with their claims.

Don’t get me wrong they are better than a lot of the opposition, but they are in no way better than the rest.
Just another bunch of bean counters with their priorities of profit over quality.
Have you seen how many recalls they’ve had over recent years?

And don’t forget they’re responsible for the world’s most boring car………..the Toyota Camry…….even the red ones are beige!

I take the beige Camry Taxi company in Dubai all the time and I have yet to be in one with less than 500,000 miles, some were touching 1 million miles and they get sold on to become a Taxi elsewhere in the world.

Bought a lemon. The 1863 caliber Speedmaster. Got it September 2022 from AB as new.

AB sold you a 1863 Speedmaster in September 2022 as new ?
Did they mention that it is last generation watch (hopefully i did get a good discount)?
What is an AB ? (AD + OB = AB bever heard AB)

Chronometer hand fell out of place. Had to get that fixed.
I am not aware of any 1863 chronometer Speedmaster ! What version or edition did u buy ?
What is the chronometer hand on a Speedmaster ?

How did u get it fixed ? OB is normally doing a revision with the repair ?
Do you know what your AB did to fix it ?

Now watch is off 3+ minutes (fast) a day.

You should have gone to an OB or AD to get it repaired. It was most likely magnitized from your AB trying to put the chronometer hand back on.

I am brining the goofy box and dropping the whole goddamn thing off and walking away from Omega for good.

This sounds like a good idea. You safe your AB and yourself a lot of trouble.

Taxis all over the world rack up high mileages, the reason is that they are constantly on the go, 24/7 they never cool down, there are no cold start ups with dry components waiting for oil, such taxi mileages are in no way exclusive to Toyota.

I'm guessing he's never dealt with Lemon Laws. Sorry, but having a new car with an issue does not mean you can return it. It takes a lot more than that under Lemon Laws.

It would not be surprising if the OP was similarly abrasive with the staff at the AD/ OB when making the purchase.
