Provenance Story? The only other one I've seen was/is Valjous72's (see previous post) but that one had a case that was sort of integrated with the bracelet. How did you come upon it? Can you share any more photos (esp. the bracelet)?

Hi, this one belongs to a friend of mine who bought it from an old watchmaker in Croatia. The previous pic is on my wrist, here are some more 😀

WOW! Amazing find. Marvin is so remarkably under-appreciated. There are those collectors who appreciate the brand, but it doesn't really have the recognition I think it deserves. If you look at Pjotr1's post where he shows an alarm watch named Waikup, you'll see the watch I purchased last week. It's a remarkable brand that embraced real design innovation. Unfortunately, the new iteration of the company is not so impressive but their customer service is very helpful with historical information. You might consider contacting them to see if they know anything about your specific watch (by ser. number). Because they were affiliated with professional car racers, your watch could actually have very interesting provenance.
Angélica Karrer, Collaboratrice administrative was very helpful to me. Her email [email protected]

I had it on my wrist for a minute or two, it wasn't uncomfortable, but I don't know how would wearing it for whole day affect the wrist 😀

There are 3 or 4 presently listed on eBay. One seller has some new old stock from the 1960s and the other two are quite nice as well.

indeed there are but to expensive for me at the moment. I don't want to spend 150 plus for a novelty item. As a 16 year old it's quite a lot of money

First, that's a really nice Flying Dutchman. Second It's so cool that you're developing an appreciation for the esoteric in the world of horology, it's really heartening to see because so many people these days have no appreciation whatsoever for mechanical watches or timepieces in general. An Apple watch, while an interesting piece of technology, isn't really a timekeeping device with nuance, history, artistry, fine mechanical engineering, or sheer artistry of style. I could wax poetic but the art of time does not need my poor words. So... good for you. If I stumble upon something more reasonably priced, I'll snatch it up and be in touch with a gift! Third, I'm so super impressed that you discovered the Marvin brand. They're super watches, every bit the equal in my mind of Universal Geneve or even Omega. Good for you friend.
