Here is a porcelain Bird that I inherited from my Mom when she passed away a few years ago.
She bought it on a vacation trip with my Dad to Copenhagen in the 1970s.
I display it proudly on a glass shelf.
I attached a picture of what it says on the bottom of it.

My small collection. Nothing outstanding, but I like them 😁
I love seeing someone unafraid to fill the negative space!

In addition to the antique maps I've previously mentioned, I have a cluster of my own vacation photos (want to print & frame more but meeting resistance from the girl) and I try to pick up "street art" on my travels as well:
(Cluster from 1st trip to Vietnam)

(Acquired in Arusha, Tanzania)

(Acquired in Stone Town, Zanzibar - same trip)

A Louis Bastin I got at a flee market for €3. I love flicking through the art at flea markets, if I haven’t found any watches of course

I'm lucky enough to be related to an art dealer, so I have a lot of really cool early American photographs. I also have so modern photographs as well which I really like.

I used to just randomly buy things that I liked, but now that I'm older and have a bit more money, I have nicer, and more unified collection.

I have 8 or so paintings of quality. One of my favorite artists is Michael Rozenvain, of which I own 2 paintings and a signed print. As many have said already, just buy what you like!

Art like watches are a very personal thing. Talking with my kids art teacher one day we get on the subject of watches and he shows me this piece and I instantly liked it and bought it.

Line @STANDY I have a few @Nobel Prize pictures 😀

Outside of that we are lucky to have a great collection of original works old and new. We support some new artists and we have some classic ones like Mariscal or Antonio Lopez and a few other goodies.

Mae also have some good original historic posters. I can’t take pics of all of them and we have three beautiful ones still being framed including an Elizondo. All Of these are original and signed. The “kiss” and the “cracked statue” are both mine.

Sorry Sherlock, not quite. My wife has a habit of putting little messages on my computer for birthdays, anniversaries etc.

Our walls are full of images of family, friends and holidays. The home office is my space so I have these up which are just a small part of my collection of 90’s skateboards. I’m sure they’re not to most people’s taste but I love them...

Middle one is what I had as a kid.

Have a few @Nobel Prize pictures on my wall 👍

Recently bought a sculpture from one of New Zealand's master Carver's (was invited to his house in the end after chatting for a bit to see a bit of he's work, he had recently finished the doors to NZs parliament house) Below was about all I could get as he is commissioned for the next few years

can I ask his name? I collect Maori art & am intrigued.

Here is another one of our "Horse Pictures".
We live in a "Horse Country" area where there are a number of horse farms, horse jumping events, fox hunting, etc.

Sorry about the reflection on the glass covering the picture but there wasn't a better angle to minimize it.

Shameless self-promotion, a plaque I made:

A Chesapeake Bay Retriever, my first dog more than 20 years ago. She still makes me feel like laughing and crying at the same time.

Damn good stuff, good idea for a thread. Nice to see what people have, I have a great appreciation for art. I don’t own anything that nice, a few things I have stored away, I have a collection of revolutionary war era items including a spike made by Paul Revere, I’m hanging onto it for a while then I’m going to give it to the Paul Revere home/museum in Boston. It’s not of great value but I spoke to them and they want it. I have some cool Japanese and Chinese art. I know religion is a no no topic but I received a small piece of a robe Pope John Paul 2 said a mass in. I got it from the Vatican. It is a signed picture of him and they put a small piece of his robe sealed in the picture, it’s in the right hand corner. They didn’t sell these they gave them away until they ran out. Anyway I’ll put up a picture of that and a Japanese thing I have.
