I’m like a permanoob so I retain little information but I had my people do some research

Automatic
The automatic came in two variants throughout the years, both ETA 2892 based. The earlier Omega 1111 suffered from inefficient automatic winding which was improved in the Omega 1109.

  • Cal 1111 (earlier models) - ETA 2892-2 based movement marked “AUTOMATIC Chronometer” on the dial
  • Cal 1109 (later models) - ETA 2892-A2 based movement marked “AUTOMATIC Chronometer” on the dial
  • 21 jewel movement with quickset date
  • sweep second
  • 44 hour power reserve
  • hack function
  • 28,800 frequency

Sorry thought I had pasted the quartz

Quartz
The quartz versions had date and were marked “PROFESSIONAL” on dial.

  • Omega 1441 (ETA 255.561) to end 1988
  • Omega 1438 movement - 1989-1995

It would be easier if the OP would provide a bit more than a single cryptic sentence.

So it appears it should however perhaps there were some differences in the years it was made for that we need someone more knowledgeable or if you know the year and movement you might be able to look it up. Do you have one without? Do you have a picture of it.

The members of this forum are so nice — someone comes on with a one line question with scant details, and members start replying with all the info they have, even thought they know the original poster is unlikely to even respond.

😀

As far as I know, Omega is somewhere on all the movements (auto and quartz). I suspect a lot of the quartz models out there have had the movement replaced with the equivalent ETA movement.

Already done. Some quartz movements were not signed.

I am greatly relieved to hear that I did what I could do needed to leave the rest for the smart people but I’m glad I attempted to assist, we must know our limitations.

Don't assume Janice is Smart, she is just loquacious 😉

AFAIK, every Pre Bond left the factory with an Onega marked movement. If you have one without, it was swapped in.

Thanks to all for the quick responses and sorry for my sparse question. From the answers so far, it appears we have a few diametrically opposed opinions. Some say for sure Omega shipped non marked movements and some say Omega only shipped marked movements. Is there a definitive expert answer?

Why don’t you give us some actual information and say why you want to know. By the way if you read back, only one member is suggesting that some movements were not signed and I’d suggest he should offer proof or explanation since otherwise it is pretty unanimous. Were Omega to have fitted plain ETA movements to these, it would be extraordinary and unlike any of their other output from circa 1990.
