Does a trip to the service center include water resistant checks?

I had sent my seamaster NTTD in to have the caseback realigned and seals checked. It came back within a month. The naiad caseback is now realigned, and no gaskets were returned with it so the AD said that meant everything was still good. Do they automatically test the 300m water resistance as well and would there any documentation of that? Just wanted to be sure before I take the watch into deep waters.

Not sure about the test, but how can a case back become out of alignment?

If they don't forget, this one (not mine) which was sent to the JLC service center to have the seconds hand changed, was posted on a local forum:

A naiad cashback should always be in the same position when rnstalled. Not sure why it had to be sent in to be realigned.

Good to know. The AD said they sent it to the service center in Switzerland. Does it normally come back with the paper slip with the results of the pressure test?

Thanks for that clarification, but that shows really bad attention to details by the e Bay authenticator. Personally, I've bought various watches off eBay in the past but this authenticator policy stops me dead now, who wants their purchase to be monkeyed around by some desk jockey with a caseback opener? There are plenty of other venues to buy/sell.

Yup, I will no longer purchase any expensive watches through eBay because of this.

Misaligned-CW, misaligned-CCW, and aligned. You're welcome.

The correct one and two others…120 degrees away from the correct one in each direction.

Ahh so it should be around the noon, 4, and 8 o'clock position. Mine was at 10'oclock so sounds more like it wasn't tightened properly initially.

Update: I was able to contact Omega, and they verified that the watch had undergone water resistant testing before being shipped back, and passed the 300m test.
