Hello Omegoids, I've been getting an increasing number of these dodecahedron shaped caseback screw-in type watches coming through lately. Thing is , I don't know what the technical name is for them and most of my searches for an opening tool comes up with the usual openers. Can anyone tell me the technical term for this system/casebacks and where I might source some kind of adjustable, or set of ,wrenches to open these. Thanks in advance. Chipsotoole
Found mostly on vintage watches I think. The many sided casebacks are a right PITA as there are so many variations and using "adjustable" or "fitzall" openers is fraught with risk. There are modern sets available, but usually for a specific brand. I think the best source for the vintage style is eBay, sometimes you may see a dozen or more in one sale. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-Bregu...m1a7a3941d3:g:Q7QAAOSwS~9ctSBl&frcectupt=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4-Mido-...722449?hash=item1a7a3941d1:g:yX0AAOSw9ylctSBlPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
