Difference between Seamaster 300M watches

Hi @ all, im new here.

i want to buy my first Omega watch, the famous Ref. 2541.80.00

Now a shop near me offers the Ref. 196.1523 and i cant find any differences to the 2541.80.00

Also i cant find any official Infos about the 196.1523 on the Omega Website. The 2541.80.00 is on there with full details etc.

They are one and the same. 196.1523 is the case number which is stamped in the back of PIC 2541.80. The PIC is only seen on the warranty cards, not the actual watch.
