Who hates John Mayer

beautiful man with a beautiful voice and been with many beautiful ladies

You've gotta have charisma to land those ladies and hit those music industry heights. It shows at a direct, personal level in this video.

In amongst all the bling there were some real pearls of collecting wisdom. The main lesson I took away, which, of course, has been reiterated by others many times across these forums (the late Noodia springs immediately to mind) is this; carefully collect where it's quiet.

Those are what he bought out. He鈥檚 got a lot of watches. Rolex is Red Hot right now as one can tell from the prices.

i think he collects a lot more than rolex but to his credit he was WAY early on the rolex craze. like a decade early. i am sure he has made 5x-10x on a lot of his early rolex

Ya. And amazingly he is making some great predictions based on his knowledge. And I feel that the predictions might just come true

I went for his concert back in my college days. Sea of screaming girls and my buddies and I singing along to "Why Georgia Why"

My wife and I ended up with some free tickets to see him on his first major international tour to support the first album. The man has serious talent, but as you say the "sea of screaming girls" was too much for my ears (they were far louder than the music, to the point of being seriously painful!) and we didn't stay for the whole thing, which was unfortunate.

A similar thing happened to me at a Billy Joel concert. The woman right behind me was intent on screaming, at the top of her lungs, the word to every song in the playlist, and completely out of tune, mind you. Finally, I couldn't take it any more, and I turned, and said, "Listen, tell me where you live, and will come over your house, pay you $20, and have you sing all these songs for me. But in the meantime, can I just hear Billy do them? "

The girls at the JM concert weren鈥檛 singing...just screaming at the top of their lungs...

Best part of the video was the "Steal Your Face" etched on the back of one of Meyer's watches. I have enjoyed when he played with "The Dead"

"I'd rather have the watch than the money". Really the money quote for me and a comment that put it all into perspective.

Because I'm definitely going to be money poor but watch rich in my life.

I didn't mind being swamped by Caucasian ladies but you are right. (Asian here)

Their screaming can be overboard.

Mayer has showmanship, entertaining and never really sloppy unlike others I have seen.

And their session drummer was incredible. He was smoking (might be a joint) and his chops/groove was nothing short of magical

I enjoyed this episode quite a bit. Many solid bits of collecting advice/recommendations from a guy who clearly is deep into the hobby.

Makes me think I could rock a Rainbow ha ha
