Did Lucien Piccard make Omega watches?

Hello,

Recently a friend of mind wrote me that her mother inherited a mans Omega wrist watch. Her mother had it a appraised and serviced, and on the appraisal it lists the maker as Lucien Piccard, yet the face reads Omega with the logo and looks like an Omega. I have not examined this watch in person as of yet. Watch was appraised at $2500, as is. The appraiser describes it as a 14K gold watch with a 14K gold band.

Your input would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Sorry. Lucien Piccard made Lucien Piccard watches and Omega makes Omega watches. There is no cross over that I know of. Did they take any photos of the movement?

I think cut and paste from previous appraisal. Serial number range not correct for Omega, and perhaps model.

Watch was not opened but they list serial and model numbers.

If you paid for that appraisal you should go get your money back.

I guess an uncle did the appraisal. Probably thought it was a prototype.

Reminds me of appraisals young men get when buying their fiance a diamond ring at a mall based jewelry store

Thom Underwood, Master Gemologist Appraiser
So, Thom appraises gemologists? That's a good thing, since he isn't worth crap appraising watches. It's amazing how a missing comma between gemologist and appraiser changes the meaning.

I am a Grand Master Gemlogist Appraiser. Your watch is fake and is worth no more than 20$. I'll give you 35$ just because you look like a nice lad.🙄

Nice insurance valuation...

Isn't that a quartz watch?
