Dial furniture- solid gold?

Do any vintage omega refs/models have actual Solid gold Arabic indices combined with a steel case? I like this combo best. If they are plate since they are not really exposed do they last?

I am looking for a vintage alternate Arabic index watch in a steel case with a white silver or light coloured dial, no or minimal complications.

I am not fussy about movement or model, as long as it is not decorated or a dive watch. Any help appreciated. I am not mad about gold but durability should be better Than steel? Longines looked to make more of this kind of thing and I would look at those as well.

The Constellation range has solid gold indices, when they are gold coloured.
These are often combined with a steel case.
You might like to look at this thread

The 'silver' indices are generally rhodium plated but I believe that there are also solid gold white examples.

Fully Arabic Constellations are not that common and it is believed that they were most popular in the UK.
However, there are far more Constellations with Arabic numerals at the quarters to choose from.

Hope that helps

The early Genève models also had gold indices, but were never full Arabic, and typically none at all.

As others have said I too think that solid gold numerals are hard to come by with SS cases. I have a Seamaster 600 with gold plated indices at the quarters that I personally think looks killer. It's from 1964 and I think the numerals still look good.

Also, I recently saw this on eBay. I know that the case isn't SS but maybe there are also some "no name" Omegas out there that would fit your description.

Omega would put a gold dial and hands in a steel case from the factory?

One of the snapped up from the FS thread within seconds years ago to beat @JimInOz 😁 and haven’t done anything with it.

I have a 1950 reference 2635, caliber 351 bumper, with a steel case that has Arabic numerals at the quarters and solid white gold hour markers.

Gbesq not doubting you but what identifies they are white gold? I had no idea that was a thing on Omegas

I have the original sales tags, box, manual, etc. and it’s part of the description. I can PM you additional info and photos if you’re interested.

if that was a question, then yes, gold furniture - but from memory, I’ve never seen a gold dial in a steel case.
Have a look at the link I posted above, lots of them.

Well the seller said
“My guess is that the reference is 136.005but I'm not sure since I can't open the caseback.“

but to me this Looks like a Automatic case back and the 136.005 was manual IIRC maybe @X350 XJR might know better

Indeed, I just assumed that OP ment gold indices on a non-gold dial, but after re-reading the post I can see that it does not explicitly say so.

Quickly ruffled through the draw of watch mayhem. (Found stuff I didn’t even know I had bought. Watch straps I forgot I had. Enough spring bars for 20 years)

Just gave it a shake and it’s a Automatic.

No Arabic numerals on my stainless steel 1959 Geneve reference 2903, but the hour markers are rose gold.

If you would like to part with it and OP isn't interested then maybe I am.👍
