Dial Check - Omega Triple Calendar Moonphase 2471/1

I came across this beautiful looking Omega Triple Calendar Moonphase. I want to get the community's opinion on the authenticity of the dial. I know most of the triple calendars out there are re-dials. Is this one of them or does the dial look original.

It is very difficult to tell for sure from one sideways, compressed picture full of reflections on the internet.

If you forced me to guess, I would say it is a very aged and fragile original. It also shows the reasons why 90% of these got redialled in the first place. The lacquer was severely compromised years ago, moisture got inside the crystal and attacked the dial metal through cracks in the lacquer, causing the pock marks.

I would be curious to see the condition of the back of the case to see if rust is involved.

I agree with @gatorcpa regarding the dial and will add the the case front and lugs look pretty good. Many of the 2471's are also heavily polished and have lost their lug sharpness.

Thanks for your input. I have the photo of the case back. It looks polished. No rust.

The rust would be evident on the edges of the inside of the caseback. The out of focus picture you provided is worthless, unfortunately.

I would be very careful if this watch was being offered to me.
