Deville Prestige Rotor noise & clinking sound

Hi , new to the forum…. I bought a deville (ref 424.13.40.20.06.002) in xmas of dec2024 and was only able to spend more time with it after new year and noticed the loud rotor sound of rattling/clunky with a sort of grinding and something loose inside.
Gently tapping also makes the sound irrespective of the orientation.

This is my first omega ,and whilst my watch modest collection has just started, the sound is the loudest and gives me concern. Took it to boutique and they cant really say normal or not and needs me to send it for diagnostics which will take at least 6 weeks.

Before I proceed with it, would be grateful to get opinions and wisdom from the community on whether this 2500 deville prestige is really like this and is not a defect so that i wont waste time & effort sending it to diagnostic/repair?

Thank you in advance!

It’s an older watch that is probably in need of service anyway. And that rotor sound is louder than any 2500 (or ETA 2892, which is the base caliber) I have ever owned. Just send it in for service.

It's loud when I turn the volume up all the way, but not so loud when I turn down the volume setting on my laptop. 🤪

Sounds like more scraping noise than I would like to hear…
