·Good Morning,
Brand new to the forum but an Omega owner for nearly 10 years. As a family of 4, all of us turned 21/50 across 2013/2014 and I was lucky enough to be gifted my first proper watched to celebrate the milestone:
Me: Seamaster 300m Professional Blue Dial
Brother: Speedmaster Professional, Hesalite hand-wound
Dad: Aqua Terra Date Blue Dial
Mum: Gold Constellation
Anyway! Having had a reasonable level of success of the past few years I've started to turn my attention to the prospect of starting to obtain my first piece using my own funds. Whilst a number of options have really caught my eye (in love with the Apollo 8 Speedmaster DSOTM) a couple of weeks ago I came across a piece I haven't seen before, the 2006 Olympic Edition De Ville Chrono:
I love the vintage look, modern movement and sapphire case back. The wet white dial melting into the subdials and blued hands also add to the special appeal. I'll admit it's a bit more classic than my usual style and can't quite explain the logic but was taken aback when I first saw a listing for one
What are peoples' thoughts? Any owners on here? I can't seem to find much info about this release online and there aren't many for sale so I'm guessing it wasn't that popular at the time, and probably isn't now either?!
