Go

Go to a boutique and have them
Put it on for you to feel
It! No need to
Buy just to test it out
Did not know you could test straps before buying.

I'm a DSOTM owner and I immediately liked the red stitching on the underside of the original strap and wondered why that hadn't been integrated onto the outside? The alligator strap isn't for me, but having just put my PO on a black/orange kevlar/leather strap, I think I'll look for similar, or leather, with red stitching.

I did this today myself. Omega boutiques are very accommodating in this regard.

Here it is the DS on Alligator Deployment strap. Apologies in advance for the photography skills. The Alligator gives it a great new look, looks a lot smarter in my (slightly biased) opinion.
Hi, I just went to check out the nearest Omega in my area and asked for the curve leather strap for the DS. But they said if won't fit and all I can get is straight strap. I'm just wondering how you done it?, do you use special tools to get it fit or all parts are OEM and the service guy just lied to me on everything

thank you

No just used a standard spring bar tool. First time I've ever changed a strap and had no problem with it.

really, that's perfect. can't wait to get my DS a new look. btw i saw anselmw's post, he mentioned he had hard time putting the strap on and had to use a smaller spring bar or something to get it fit. this would be my only concern right now

Yes, it would not go in with the normal single pole bergeon tool nor the plier two sided one. I have had this issue before with fitting the rubber dive strap to the first gen PO. Turns out Omega specs a different spring bar in that configuration.

For the DSOM, I figure the tolerance for straight straps is larger than for the curved strap. curved straps fit like a bracelet which normally require a slightly smaller spring bar. In this case I used a 20mm speedmaster one and it fit perfectly. I will ask at the boutique what is the proper spring bar but not sure they will know as the curved strap is not an option for the dsom but we know it works.

I purchased them from ofrei. I believe they are the ones recommended for the speedy pro. Send OFREI a note but I would try with your stock ones first as they may work.
