It shouldn’t be a long wait as they are more on the OBs and ADs. Besides, those guys in the SA boutique are great and will help you.

Based on the photos I was never able to tell if I loved it or hated it. Finally got to try one on at the Pittsburgh boutique the other day. Bad news. Loved it.

Thanks for all the photos and congrats to everyone who picked one up!

Have any of you Apollo 8 DSOTM owners been able to pick up the deployant strap (Omega P/N #032CUZ011562) and if so where? My USA-based AD has had one on order for the past eight weeks and is still waiting on it to arrive.

See my post on page 6. I picked mine up close to a month ago. Ordered it directly with the OB (USA) and it arrived a couple weeks later.

I just picked one of these up after trying it on and not being able to let it go back on the case. Anyone put theirs on a rubber strap yet?

No but would be interested to see what it looked like. The strap it comes with is rubber like for me anyway.

Give it a shot on a nato. For me, that’s how this one looks best.

Finally got it. Added the deployant clasp as well.
The deployant clasp should have been standard issue for this watch. I have it on the tang buckle which works fine but a nice ceramic/titanium DP buckle would have been better, I suppose price was a big factor. Even with the tang buckle it is a pricey Speedmaster.

Got mine as well. It really is my favorite Speedmaster of the last few years. Very unique – added a deployant as well.

Sorry but major eyesore with the red/yellow clash.

Do you see the undersides of your straps and bracelets when wearing your watch then?

I happened to have that strap but on wrist you can’t see the red and I like the spartan all black look. I get your point though

I have it too, and it’s never crossed my mind.

I must say Apollo 8 is just real beauty. I put the Joseph Bonnie NATO strap on - I don’t like the original black/yellow as it’s IMHO too much yellowish...but I understand and accept others like it.

Anyway, I’m really happy having the A8 on-board.

Many interesting after market choices in straps, but I find the standard perforated yellow sandwich strap a refreshing style that goes with the yellow hands and writing of this model. I really don't have any plans to replace it. But everybody has their own ideas on how to improve it for themselves.

True - the black black strap is quite nice however as it lets the bezel and dial pop on their own.

I agree, something like this combo from the DSOTM sedna gold version would be nice as it allows the focus to be on the watch. I bought this for my titanium Speedmaster Co-axial but it's staying on the bracelet.
