Everyone is different but I'd venture to guess that you would enjoy it more if you wore it. It is amazing how 'modern' a vintage Speedmaster is to live with.

Thanks to all who provided advice! Just to close the loop, freshly back from the spa (shout out to The Village Watchmaker in Los Gatos for an amazingly quick turnaround). It won’t be leaving my wrist any time soon.
