Well, in all fairness, FedEx has bigger fish to fry right now. Read this morning that they want the Washington Redskins to rename the team because the team plays at FedEx stadium and Fred Smith (FedEx founder) is a minority owner of the team. FedEx can't be worrying about your work clothes getting to you in Hot Springs, SD with this kind of weighty issue on their plate.

So, you are in favour of these types of names then?

A parcel for me from Russia, posted on 29th May was delivered yesterday, 2nd July.
I understand it's normally a bit hit and miss and often takes up to 2 months so I'm quite pleased with that.

Either that or the post could imply that FedEx would be able to control weather systems if freed up the pittance of time and resources they’ve allocated to this issue.

Should we deface all the nickels, too?

Nothing to be proud of, but that’s where the logo came from.

Look, a private business has the right to call themselves whatever they want. However, we all have the right to and should boycott that business if we find that name bigoted or offensive.

What irks me is “internet shaming” based on an obviously sarcastic comment.

I think we all need to...

I'm afraid I have to disagrere. Who else has appeared on coins? US presidents, Lady Liberty, and Susan B Anthony. A Native American is being honored, here.

It's like complaining about the Florida Seminoles without realizing that the tribe not only gave permission, they teach classes about Seminole culture and history at the university.

That would be the Florida State University Seminoles. That is a big deal in these parts. Please see the logo under my screen name for the University of Florida’s logo. Just an innocent reptile.

You are correct about the tribe’s endorsement. However, some other tribes object to the characterizations and the fact that FSU’s mascot isn’t always a Native American individual.

This is a very complicated issue.

I’m waiting on a watch out of Budapest sent May 5. Landed state side, got processed through Chicago early June and was “in transit” to next destination June 13.

Now USPS site says the parcel was never in the US so I’ve opened a lost mail report and we shall see what happens.

Last week I bought a Ch. Ward C65 Diver online as a congrats for our son's upcoming significant event. I ordered it Tuesday afternoon to take advantage of their latest coupon. Wed, I got tracking info from DHL, texted to my phone. Looking it up, it was at Heathrow.

Thursday, had been through Ontario, Canada and had already cleared customs in Columbus OH; scheduled delivery on Monday. On Friday it was local and out for delivery. I got it from the DHL truck about three Friday afternoon.

I heard these guys were good, but Wow!. 😀

I ordered a strap from Haveston in he UK. I live in California and figured I’d be in for a long haul with the international part...

June 25th- ordered
June 26th- shipped
June 27th- Departed UK
June 30th- Arrived US customs Chicago
Not bad and the delivery date updated to July 5th. Sweet Deal!
July 1st- Left Chicago customs
Should only take a couple days from here! Maybe even beat the July 5h delivery date!
As of July 11th (today) “in transit”
So, I guess I am in for the long haul. But within my own country...

I'm having all the same issues with late packages as the rest of you guys. It's funny how after only a few months its become the new normal to expect nothing on time. It is what it is and I'm not complaining anymore....... HOWEVER... I am complaining about this B.S.!

This is not the first issue I've had this year but it was the first time I was able to catch the culprit. Good Ol USPS. My dog barked so I looked out the window and watched as the postman pulled outa the driveway. He dropped a package at my garage and then performed a 3 pointer to leave on a rather hot day turning his wheels on my less than a year old new asphalt driveway. Why would you do that and not just back outa the driveway 😕 I live on a backroad with no traffic 🤦

Side note, after 3 years of remodeling I've finally got the chance to focus on my lawn (I know it's not golf course worthy) but it was riddled with crabgrass and weeds. I had 7k worth of trees removed, many which were growing in the area of these pictures. Trucked in 13 dumps worth of top soil and seeded. I'm pretty proud of the green grass I've accomplished. Even when it was just dirt with seed on it I've come home to tire tracks in the mud which was only mud because I had sprinklers set up to water the seeds. In other words it was pretty obvious not to drive on it. 🤬. After this issue I swept up the loose asphalt and promptly had the driveway sealed. I asked the postman nicely to not pull in the driveway anymore and explained the issue. He denied doing what I said which got me fustrated (he even claimed that he never even pulls in off the road)... but the point was made. Next post will have the continuation of my asphalt/lawn saga)

After the last issue I pulled back the siding and ran the wire to power the security cameras. I had the cameras initially but I'm OCD and having wires showing wasn't an option so the security system went in but the cameras sat on the shelf.

Low and behold it only took 3 weeks to come home to more tire tracks on the grass. This time wasn't as bad because we had 3 weeks of hot weather and no rain which turned my grass dry. Still not okay to go on my lawn though. The driveway also held up better since it was sealed.

Furious, I scoured the camera footage expecting to catch the postman in his tracks. This time it was Amazon..... I can't win.

Feel your pain - we take our lawns pretty seriously here. But one word - and you will be the winner every time.
Bollards.
Preferably rough texture.
Good wishes.
