·I recently sent a watch to Chris in the UK via USPS, it took a month to go from Oklahoma to Great Britain.

I've got a couple of small pieces coming in from China. Ordered 6/19, cleared US customs (at presumably JFK) 6/25, and are now bouncing around New England. I'm south of DC. Go figure.

This reminds me of when I let my agency travel dept book a flight for me (the first and last time I didn’t do my own travel), and they booked the return from Sacramento to Phoenix, connect to JFK, then to ATL, then BWI (I could have waved to my house on the way from NY to Atlanta) ...and of course I got hung up with an in-air delay and late night cancellation at JFK and had to spend the night at the airport Ramada Inn (I could have driven home from JFK in 2.5hrs)...at least they put me on a 6am direct to BWI and gave me a meal voucher for the shriveled picked over midnight buffet at the Ramada....I ate the bags of peanuts for dinner that the kind stewardess gave me on the delayed flight.
oof. I've only had connections like that when I was trying to fly home the same time as a storm system was crossing most of the mid west. PHX -> DFW -> CHI -> ATL -> CLE -> BAL in 24 hours. I felt like I was in a pinball machine.
I had a project in Hot Springs, SD during November (I know, I was pissed) flew to Denver and then puddle jumper to Rapid City- then drove to HS. My gear was going Fed-Ex 2nd day and should have arrived the same day as me but I flew in just ahead of a massive storm front and Denver got a couple feet of snow right after I flew to SD. I sat in my hotel for 4 days with clear skies in Hot Springs, my gear sat in an igloo in Denver.... the office couldn’t understand why I wasn’t out working.
