Crown Size for vintage Omega Seamaster

I was wondering what the crown Size would be for my 1960s Omega Seamaster. It's an Automatic 565. Would I need to get the serial number from the back of the case?

Hi,

You would need to get the reference number. From that era, it should be a 4 digit number (with probably a variation, such as XXXX/X)
Then you would need to find info on that reference number, that should give you the crown it usually comes with.

With a caliber 565 movement it will be a six digit number, something like 166.xxx.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, it's 166.002. Any clue what crown would fit on that? Thanks

You may want to get a new stem as well. If the current crown on the watch is not original the stem may be to short.
