Hello, as i've already published here, i have recently just got a trésor, cal.266 ref.2687, 18K jumbo honeycomb dress watch from 1956.
i am looking for the correct style box for it, as it didn't came with one - but i couldn't find what are the boxes those were marketed with.
I GUESS that this is something from the reddish series, but there are thin, long ones (for opened straps), shorter ones (folded), ones when the watch sits slanted, holder or not, complete rectangulr which the item sits on a bracelet mount... you got it; I'm confused.
And that's before i even mention the logo.
Attached are pictures of my watch. If you have the option to let me know how to differ between the ones that could fit, as well as what could even be a potential fit to my watch, that would be awesome.
If it matters, my watch was originally made for the italian market (based on extract of the archives).
My watch:

The boxes, just an example. There are too many designs!

Thank you for your assistance.

I've actually did, and it made me much more confused, TBH. i know a few that for sure couldn't be the originals for that watch, but a lot of models might be.
I can't even tell if some models had been distributed simultaneously with different boxes to different countries - but it guess it happened, too

What the Omega Box thread provides is a feel for what is period correct. You are looking for 1950s for dress watch style. It could be one of the smaller shallow boxes, or possibly larger presentation box.
The thing is that boxes were provided at point of sale, and with exception of some references there was no consistent correct box for most watches. So you never know with complete confidence. And as you say there can be regional differences.
A complete set can give an example , but some non original sellers “assemble” the set so unless it’s original owner it isn’t always correct.

So get a feel for 50s style boxes and take some time. Just my 2 c.
