Correct Box for 105.003-63?

Forgive me if this is discussed elsewhere; I found a few “correct box” threads, but not for a Speedmaster 105.003 of 1963-65 vintage

Hoping someone can show me an example or two.

Thanks!

I do appreciate the link but I did search and am simply not confident with what I found. I scoured eBay too. The boxes I’ve seen don’t have the flat foot logo of the period but I’m not sure if they should or shouldn’t. I premised my question to avoid this kind of response, but there’s always someone…. I hope you feel good about ridiculing me. I would never do that to you or anyone else. Thanks buddy.

No worries Freedom7, he still uses google with + + + in between search terms ..... 😉

If you havent found the ultimate thread already;

and i dont think there is any more definite information to be found. The 1957 boxes were flat and red , or square and red a little later on so any of those would fit i guess. I am not sure the box logo should be flat footed ?

This one would do nicely

And this was sold as full set from original owner not proof of course but helpful

Keep in mind boxes were provided at point of sale by dealer and varied by country so no absolute identification may be possible- just period correct, and sufficient size to accommodate Speedmaster

Thanks very much you guys. This is extremely helpful. I was wondering about boxes varying by both Country and dealer. Plus, I always thought that the Omega logo with the "turned up toes" went along with the time of its appearance on a Speedy crown (supposedly after 1970). This was throwing me off. Now I'm realizing that it's not a correct assumption; even with a flat-footed logo on the dial and crown of a CK2998, the "turned-up toes" logo is on the case back. The choices are much greater than I thought. I especially like the box with the silver world logo.

Sry I didn’t do a Boolean search or do a site specific search… I pasted the URL from a natural language search. (I’m an infosec professional and am proficient in google dorking thank you ) considering the lack of effort I didn’t want to confuse the OP.

The point is the OP’s post reads as if they didn’t do any research, I provided a starting point to narrow down his inquiry instead of a “I’m new here, please tell me everything you know.”

Ok you know that annoying new co worker that as soon as they get stuck they just immediately starting asking the people who have spent decades learning instead of doing proper research or working it out for themselves? Who might this be in the allegory?

Instead saying “based on my research I’ve narrowed it down to 1 box type with some font/logo differences can someone help point me in the right direction for a 1963 Speedy box? Here are some pictures of what I have narrowed it down too”.

Might get you a much better response.

This is a nice style and appears to be bandied about as a 1960's Seamaster/Speedmaster box. Will it pair nicely (correctly) with a pre-moon Speedy?

From those two pictures what are your concerns about that box? It seems to fit the description from that era.

Be careful with the red boxes. There are two types, the 5501 and 1501. The former is for smaller, 34mm watches and won’t fit a Speedmaster. The latter is the correct size for Speedmasters and Seamaster 300’s

Yes looks like appropriate Speedy box with large top. As David points out make sure you get 1501

Japanese sellers on eBay often sell these for 150 USD sometimes less
