I had the article etc to attach but had trouble posting a couple days. this watch was popular at pro tennis this year. I just found it cool looking but lost all the movement information. I put it on my “to get” list but at 90k decided to remove it.

There's a micro brand in the UK called Underdog that makes some pretty funky looking watches :

They've now also reportedly partnered with H Moser & cie to produce this :
A snip at £52k!!😂

Ik think they put the crown on top because it's got hinges on the side, Pity it's a two hander but if it was affordable...me too. Very original design

I really like studio underdog. That watermelon one is killer. A lot of their fans were expressing disappointment on Reddit regarding the H. Moser combo hitting 52k calling them “sellouts”. Do you know if it’s true the 52k one has a myiota movement. I just briefly read some of it I can’t bother with “watch rage” just get something else.

Im pretty sure that it wasn't stated in the article that I read but I'd assume (totally guessing now) that they'd surely use a in house H Moser built movement, especially at that price point (the article I read stated "approx £52.9k")
As pretty as they are I cannot see anyone parting with that kind of doh for a Chinese movement.

Ha! You just reminded of a mate who had an ESP custom painted about 10 years ago, I reckon you'd dig this Walrus :

Oh snap that is brilliant. I’ve seen a lot of custom guitars but that takes the watermelon.

A friend of mine spotted a chap wearing a watermelon Underd0g in our local pub here in Brighton UK. Turns out it was Richard Benc founder of the brand who had just moved in up the road. We’ve since got to know him and his lovely girlfriend and often bring pieces from our collection to the pub to share.

Really nice bloke and working hard to establish his brand. Great to hear his stories marketing the brand around the world.

Great to have some contemporary watch news on the doorstep! I wish him every success.

Cool anecdote Gareth, any inside info? Any clue on the designated movement for the H Moser colab as asked by Walrus above?🍻

I’ve not spoken to Rich since the H.Moser collab came out.

Not really my cup of tea but kudos to Rich for pulling it off. Great marketing for Underdog being associated with such a prestigious brand.

Yeah, seems confusing! The article initially suggests that you'd be buying a pair of watches, ie his and hers but then goes on to describe specs for 4 different watches! Am I missing something?🤔 great looking watches though 🍻

Well I bumped into Richard Benc at the pub last night. He was alone composing his vows in preparation for his wedding next weekend! I asked about the Moser collab and how it came to be. He told me he met the owner at a watch festival last year and got some nice feedback about his designs and offered to create a new look for them. They decided it would be good to offer as a pair and so the passion fruit collab was born. He was wearing the H. Moser version which I had a good look over. Beautiful craftsmanship with the HMC 300 manual calibre.

I wished him well on the forthcoming event from his fans at OF!
