Doubts about the crown and the price of this moderately worn Geneve cal. 603

Hello everyone,

I am thinking of grabbing another vintage Omega Geneve, only this time a gold plated cal. 603 (since I can get it very cheaply). But I have a few doubts.

Firstly, is the crown on this one fake since it does not have an omega logo on it.

I saw this post online with the same model (although it says cal. 601 which I believe to be a mistake) and this watch does not have the logo on the crown either. https://watches83.com/en/603-omega-...watch-hand-winding-cal-601.html#other-views-9

Secondly, what might the price of the watch be, especially taking into considerstion the engraving on it? It runs well, but needs a full service of course.

Thank you very much

It's not "fake" so much as a generic replacement. I would pay no more than about $300 for this and in fact sold one a hell of a lot nicer with a 565 movement for about that amount.

300$ already sounds like a pretty hefty price tag to me for what’s left of this.

Agree. Some of the tarnishing will clean up but it’s not great. It’d have to be more like $150 to even make me think about it. Then I’d still pass.

That case is not wearable.
You can get a nice steel Geneve for $300 easily.

There are a lot of these around so you have the ability to take your time and be picky on price and quality, this one wouldn’t be my choice
