Has anyone else even seen a 2852 arrowhead crosshair pie pan that is not a complete mess for sale? I remember a couple years ago they can up regularly every month or so.. But I don't think I've seen one for sale in almost a year?
Its hard to gauge a price when they are never for sale?

I sold this one in April 2017 for €2675. Sadly enough it got stolen in transit.

I bought and sold this one on the forum for €1150 in 2017.

I’d take it back 😀

Accuracy !!
Sometimes, we tend to forget to give a compliment to the accuracy of Constellations. The fact is most of the time when I bought an old (40 to 60 years old) Constellation, it always runs accurately, +/- 10 seconds /day before service by watchmaker. A true and tough chronometer grade movements! From 1950s cal.352, 354 and 501 to 1960s cal. 561 all are excellent movements!

Yes! My daily wear constellation gains somewhere in the low single digits of seconds per day. I can go a couple of weeks between setting it and it's still accurate enough to catch a train, even if I don't wear it for a day. Some quartz watch makers should be embarrassed that their offerings can't match that.

Well then it seems to me they are carrying the same premium as a dog leg? Around two grand for a steel 505 arrowhead seems about right to me, about what a similar "best of features" dog leg pie pan would sell for?

Of the connie case shapes I've had, I rank them:

1) 2852/2853
2) 168.005/6 (together with 167.005 and 1490x)
3) 2700
4) 2852 (steel, with drilled lugholes)
5) 168.004
6) 14381/14382

But I love em all.
No love for the c-case? 🙁

I noticed that a good number of the people here would prefer a constellation as their go-to watch. I read a little bit about the constellation line history. Granted it is a milestone and the dial design is unique, but what the real fuss is all about?
At some point, you'll take the question mark out of the title of this thread. 😉

I bought mine in November. I don't think it's a mess, unless you don't like patina.

Well. I bought these two over the last 6-7 months. You just have to look harder and of course, pay an arm and leg for them.
