Constellation 2943/2954 dial sense check

Hi all,

I've come across this pie pan connie and thought it was a bit strange that there were serifed letters and a slant 'm' which don't seem very common for this reference, as well as and lack of an 'officially certified' line, which I thought was something that omega did briefly a few years after this reference, though it seems like some pie pan arrowhead dials did potentially lack this line in the late 50s (this watch is ca. 1957).

I've put a couple of threads below that I found while doing my research:

https://omegaforums.net/threads/con...th-‘officially-certified’-on-the-dial.119744/
https://omegaforums.net/threads/ome...-black-dial-unusually-heavily-serifed.169903/

I think (or maybe want) it to be an uncommon exception but would appreciate a sense check of what I've said and for other things I may have missed or overlooked... before I potentially do something stupid?
Cheers

My far from expert opinion at a first look: Uncommon and potentially legit dial. As the OP says Connies often lacked OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED in the 1950s and as the second link shows, some had CALENDAR, as well. But these two features are hardly found together. Unless it's a gifted redialling workshop who made these at some point in time, I can't spot anything that would contest it's authenticity.

A question: is there anything similar on the Constellation blog, in case I might have missed it?

This is ofc my unreliable amateurish opinion and can't wait to read what the real experts would say! 📖

Edit: link to an inconclusive debate on a like-for-like De Luxe, though with poorer case condition: https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/omega-constellation-2954.4739677/

You do not mention the caliber of the movement or show us the lugs on the watch.

It is impossible to give any sort of idea on what it is with just pictures of the dial.

If this is a cal. 504, it is likely a redial. If a cal. 561, maybe there is a chance that it is original, but the minute track is way too far from the pie-pan edge for my liking.

My Spidey sense says redial. The word Constellation is too bold compared to the other text and as gator said the minute track is too far from the edge.

Caliber is 504 - I've attached more photos of the case.
I did think that the constellation script was too bold but dismissed it as a perspective issue since the photo has been blown up so large. Also agree that the minute track does look a bit strange...
