Hello everyone, been looking for a constellation jumbo for a while. Bought this 14777 from Japan. I have been looking at the text on the dial the last few days and I am beginning to think that this is a redial. The "Automatic" seems to be too far left and the "M" on Chronometer seems to be very different. Please let me now what you think.

Merry Christmas !

And isnt the small 3 o’c marker crooked?

did you check the text and the caseback etc vs the 2 examples on Desmond’s site? - http://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.com/2014/11/the-omega-constellation-jumbo-14777.html

Pity, as the case is quite nice and the bezel looks very strong

i,d fire an email to Desmond, to get his view on this

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, case back and movement s/n checks out based on Desmond blog. Emailed him too 😀

Did not notice the 3 o'clock indice, but just looked at it from the side and it is crooked !

Certainly the placement of “automatic” is different in the 2 Desmond examples, but to be honest, your “automatic” placement, visually, is centered better IMO

So is it a later dial variation?
Hopefully, Desmond will clarify

No, unfortunately it's a redial. I think the M in Chronometer gave it away. Knowing that, I will continue wearing it as the dial is very clean and the size at 36mm is just right.

s and a in Constellation are also off, serifs missing… it’s definitely a redial, unfortunately.

Certainly looks a redial to me. The automatic is on the piss.

For me it was the N in chronometer that gave it away, then I saw that R

Text is too glossy/puffy/rounded edge
