Oh, I forgot a pic. Unfortunately my wife is not giving me the watch until our anniversary so I do not have a real pic. So here is a stock image of the exact model from Omega's site

Looks great. As I have said in other threads I thouroughly enjoyed my Speedy Panda and Speedy Reduced. They just did not fulfill the space that I was hoping. My Speedy Pro is a keeper for sure. 3c6ec442ce06bf3b2e563eb18e7c08c4.jpg ee7c6ec31feefdf4c2c0908a23ad90fe.jpg 34a76ec67653f4d9f636466077c021e0.jpg

I want a pro eventually, a vintage one preferably. But that, along with a Breitling Navitimer ref 806, would be a collector piece, that is babied, and would only fly with me in peacetime missions, etc... For our 5th anniversary, I was looking for a tool watch that i could put through anything and take all over the world with me. So basically it doesn't/wont replace nor compete with my Speedy racing... Btw, that panda is cool looking!

I really like those speedy racing models, but the current iteration of the speedy reduced moon automatics don't really do it for me. The layouts were a bit too cramped, and comparing how they wear vs a speedy pro there was no contest. However, with the speedy racing I think the dials are differentiated enough with the revised layouts and color choices that they are a good alternative.

I have a Speedmaster Apollo XI May delivery from 1989, and a Speedmaster reduced from the same era. Don’t decide based on my opinion, but I like them both for different reasons.

Guys. I'm not trying to be a contrarian. I'm sure they're wonderful, but I'm just not interested... and for all sorts of reasons. Hey, somebody has to buy all those lesser and not-worthy watches. Right? As they say in the car biz, there's an ass for every seat.

Makes me think perhaps the speed master pro is the one to buy as I hang my head in shame for buying 3511.50 reduced for the exact
same reasons you did. These guys probably buy new and go for latest trends me I love vintage which 39mm is huge compared and enough for the vintage

Yes, you should feel mortified (kidding), especially because your 3511.50 isn't even a Speedy Reduced - just a lowly Speedmaster Date. 😲 Actually, mine is the 3221.30 Day/Date - 40mm case, 100m water resistance, button release clasp, COSC rating. Those were some of my reasons. I ended up putting it on an all black Speedy Racing rubber strap, because that's the way I like it. You learn pretty quickly that aside from forums, nobody cares what your watch is, what it looks like, or whether you're even wearing a watch. Please yourself.
