This little fella is up for auction soon.
I've no info on the movement or inside case shots

I'd quite like to have some opinions on its originality please.

The back looks okay -with the 'matt' Observatory
the case looks quite sharp
the dial looks okay -except perhaps for the minute markers above and below the date -look a little short? -but that could be the crystal distorting the view.
the crystal is an omega signed glass
I'd be interested to know what the experts think?

many thanks in advance

Looks like a hidden crown 168.0010 19mm lug. Powered by a 564.

thanks -I thought it might be a 564 so I asked the auction house to 'test' the quickset and they said:
"The watch is running fine; without forcing anything, the crown appears to come out just one 'stop', and the date changes as the hands wind past 12 o'clock."
the trouble is -if they were a bit too gentle with it they wouldn't find the 'extra stop' and it would still change date at 12 o'clock.

thoughts on the originality of the dial?

thank you once again hoipolloi -it certainly looks the part
'my ideal' next purchase would be a late 60's Connie with the hidden crown case and a 564 movement -but with a dome dial and 'two-tone' long narrow hands (like the one @Sgt_Bilko posted recently)
but I like the look of this watch and since I also have a hankering for pie-pan I might just have a go at this one

why is that?
I thought it might be a later version to be using a pie-pan (hence thought it might be 564) would it be seen as one of the last ones?

Generally speaking if Hoi speaks in favour of a Constellation its probably worth buying
