·I can't explain the pattern seen in the zoomed photos. It does look remarkable regular like a waffle. There is no indication of that in person with the naked eye.

·I didn't realize that it was a waffle dial until zooming in on the recent photo. Is it common for a waffle texture to be so subtle? If everything else didn't look so good, that'd make me suspect it had an extra layer of paint, but maybe that's just how some white waffle dials are?? Or maybe it was obvious to everyone that it was a textured dial and I'm oblivious
You were right! It is a hobnail. Need to see it in good light to see the texture. The case is really nice . The bracelet is really terrible, despite having "best quality" engraved on it. A nice strap will be next.

·Congrats! Can we agree that it’s a honeycomb / waffle dial, not the more complex and rougher hobnail structure? 😁 Lovely piece nonetheless. Looking forward to some sharper pictures!

·Right honeycomb then, very subtle.
Rather than my initial thought that the texture might be faint because of an extra layer of paint, I think it is faint because it's pretty clean (plus poor lighting and focus in earlier photos). I'm probably used to seeing examples with more dirt and/or patina than this. Very nice.
