I haven't experienced this in either of mine, but I'll try the "crown down swish under water" test later tonight with my more recent serial number and report back if anything creeps in.

My Speedmaster hesalite solid case back did get condensation once and that was while on a commercial airline flight. Has only happened once don't know why, and as soon as I fly again I will wear the watch and see if it happens again.

Hi,

and it happend again... sadly!

BR
Hans

What events led up to it?

I haven't experienced this, although I did rinse mine under water last time this thread popped up, and even dramatic changes from very cold to warm and humid don't seem to have resulted in fog in my case, but I guess there's always a first (or second) time. Are you sending it off for repair?

True story - this night I had a dream where water leaked into my FOIS. Ruined the dial at around 3 o'clock...

Had completely forgotten about it until I saw this thread!

So a Wet dream then ...... 😗

This reference, including the two CK2998 LE's, seems to have an inordinate number of water resistance issues. So far my 2016 CK2998 has not shown any issues. I bought it from an AD in Dec 2018 so it has the five year warranty and is covered until Dec 2023, I'm keeping an eye on it. I live in a humid environment so it would be susceptible to fogging in the summer going in/out of air conditioned places.

Yea, mine has condensation for a second time. Omega were very apologetic and called and left a answerphone message which I though was a nice touch and good customer service. It’s under warranty; apparently not keeping time within tolerance either(!), now back in for a full service…
