P plopi recently picked this watch up as my entry to UG. I purchased the digital copy of Sala's book, while i could not find this reference number (12558) in the book, The telemeter scale section states; "the telemetre scale is usually red in color". All others I've found online are red as well and the only watch i found similar to this, are actual past listings for this exact watch. For reference it is from 1945 serial number starts with 118.
So my question is this dial original and how common/uncommon is this black telemetre scale?
Any help would be appreciated
I would have thought a dealer might be able to fit a strap that fits their watch for sale.
given that the top strap fits pretty good and the lower strap has a gap, I would think the upper lugs are bent and either need to be straightened or two different sized straps would have to be used to get proper fit.
just a guess, but definitely see this, especially on gold cases.
