Late 30s Breitling / Union Special with black dial and telemetre/tachymetre scale

My affection for watches from 30s and 40s with telemetre / tachymetre scale has brought me to this watch.
The watch simply catched me because of the black dial, the scales and the unorthodox lugs:

The diameter is around 35.5 mm.

Hard to find any information on this one but what I assume is that it is similar / or in fact a Breitling from the 30s / late 30s delivered to the jeweler American Swiss in South Africa using their inscription of the House Brand 'Union Special" on the dial.
The engraved number at the back falls in the Breitling range from that time and is a few 2digit thousands lower but somewhat close to the one below from Matthew Bain.

Would be happy if anyone can add up to Union Special watchbrand and also to this model/dial (was used I assume for various brands).

Very appealing appearance and a great vintage size too. Thanks for posting an uncommon chronograph watch for us to see!

Very good website (www.mikrolisk.de) and I also checked before.
Filling in "Union Special" it indicates Hamilton.
But somewhat can't conclude it's a Hamilton watch as it looks like a Breitling - also I assume the production number at the back is Breitling.

From my point of view the Information on this website on "Union Special" is not really related to the watch model from post #1 here.

Hamilton made the model "Union Special" pocket watches back around 1900 or thereabouts

I came across this thread whilst looking for info about my dad’s Breitling Union Special which I do from time to time.

Here additional Infos referring to "Union Special" labelled watches:

In 1922, Isiah Hirschsohn’s son, Phillip, joined American Swiss. In the same year, the company launched its own brand of watch, the Union Special, named after the Union Ltd Special, a train which ran from Cape Town to Pretoria.

A number of advertising gimmicks, including dropping the watch from aeroplanes and tying it to the wheels of trains were used to publicize the watch.

So looks like the "Union Special" were "produced/sold" from 1922 until selling "American Swiss" to TFG Group in 1967.
