Does the watch sits in the back seat of a Rolls Royce that is being chauffeur home to your front door?
Used to see that a lot with fancy rugs and carpets -- eBay took their percentage off the lartificially ow asking and then the sellers made their cash on the shipping. Recently, of course, we're seeing it on protective masks, etc., where the shipping is a 3-5x multiple of the price.
Yep. They take their % off the total payment now, I suspect in response to what they saw as abuse of the system. I don't know if Amazon marketplace does.
Yes then I remember correcrly, and is that the same precentege on the whole payment? If so, this scam is pointless
Amusing, they've done this on most of their listings.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-gene...191696?hash=item44582e1710:g:k5gAAOSw0bleg5VFPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Only $10,000 shipping on this one!
I don’t think the (US) buyer pays sales tax on the shipping cost, maybe that’s the game? Ive seen a few of these of late as well.
Am i the only one who finds it impossible to even put a fair shipping price on eBay without getting an error message? I sold 4 or 5 things on eBay, got a shipping quotation from my local post office and was always rejected my listing due to the shipping cost being too high, i had to lower it to a fraction of what it actually cost me, found it frustrating, tried to look for ways to work around eBay screening filters found it even more frustrating and in the end decided to sell through other marketplaces..
eBay shipping policy stink. From Scandinavia, I can't bid on US watches sent via the Global Shipping Program. I have to persuade the seller to use USPS and edit the listing correspondingly.
