Hi

I'm sure this has been asked before but I did a quick search and didn't come up with much, so apologies if it's been covered previously.

I regularly clean my SMP with liquid soap in warm running water using a soft toothbrush, any reason not to do the same with a new Speedmaster Professional?

Cheers
Matt

Change the seals on a reasonable interval and don't operate the pushers or crown while doing it, I personally don't clean them under water but I do have exceptionally clean wrists.

Thanks Ash, if you don't use water can I ask your preferred methods, simply a wipe over with a microfibre or similar?

I'm just a sedentary creature that doesn't sweat or physically exert himself while wearing a watch, or most other times really, my watches just don't get dirty really so at most I'll wipe them down with my shirt or something.

No reason whatsoever. make sure you clean round the pushers, that's usually where the crap builds up.

I think a wet q tip and then a fine microfiber is what I would use to clean a speedmaster pro. becareful on watched with anti reflective coating as some microfiber towels have been known to scratch the coating as with many other cleamong agents so use a very mild cleaner if at all but a little water q tip and microfiber towel is all that is needed unless it is very soiled

I would never get any speedmaster I own near water - including a modern one.
