Spotted…my VW type 3 in Hayburner, the UK’s most popular air cooled magazine. This feature was a long time coming!
The magazine is air cooled? Makes sense.........water cooled magazines would fall to bits and the pages would stick together

That's awesome!
The only magazine "feature" mine will get would be in the "shit box for sale" section.
I did get mine out this other weekend though to run some errands.
Look how bad the bottom of the doors are getting.
I think I’m going to sand the whole car down and leave it just as is.

Kind of a classic in some circles and exceedingly rare in the US.

Its actually a Citroen Ami, but you can buy an Opel Rocks or Fiat Topolino version.
Its not legally a car, its a quadracycle.

Hallo friends of Oldtimers,
I remember in the 80s the car dealer Michael Fröhlich in Düsseldorf city allways offering extraordinary gems of automobiles. Then he disapeared...
Now I read his later story.
In the year 2000 he got 50, so born in 1950. He decided to take classic cars of his birth year (even a Lagonda, Porsche 356 or a Queens Bentley) and, completely crazy, he decided to put 50 of these cars of age 50 like him in his private wood in the Neandertal (yes the famous valley nearby) to let the time and nature do their work.
Konrad

Here a Lloyd Alexander of the then Borgward Co., this type of car was my first in the early 1960s (this one has a British number plate???)
My friend Helge had the Borgward Hansa (this came from Rio de Janeiro):
I stumbled upon a later picture of this vandal, yes he looks as sane I imagened.

More vintage than classic & not exactly sure vintage is the right word it's more like traction engine or road locomotive, anyway spotted this lovely example in N Leicestershire earlier today on our way back from Burton on Trent the Beer brewing capitol of the UK . And had to include my not so classic or vintage SLK .
