Many Japanese sellers have no stock but knowing they can buy from Japanese markets once you have purchased, that’s why you will see the same watch being sold by several sellers. (With the same pictures)
With a bit of sleuthing you can sometimes find the original seller of the watch on eBay or a shop that has the watch for $2-300 less.

Became big when the Japanese market collapsed and watches were being purchased less by the Japanese. Also some Japanese are hesitant to sell outside Japan and on sellers saw this as a good way to make a quick buck and a business model.

Know some people who have got the watch they wanted at the price they were happy with buying this way. So it’s not all dodgy just an interesting business model.

I know someone that only a few weeks ago sourced a Railmaster this way and had no issue.

However, it must be a much better idea to buy from Australia?
