Also posted this on the Seiko forum but think as many don't look there I had better put it here as well.

Found this new product on Google.

I have no commercial interest or link to this product but I must say something like this is long overdue and this unit really looks to be the bee's knees.

Thanks for sharing this and the link. As it stands, I only have 1 Kinetic Seiko so I'm not really in the market. But I'm sure some other Seiko collectors would be interested.

The major problem with Kinetic watches is that they must be worn, that to a watch collector is a problem in that you have to set aside time to wear it to keep it charged and even though they have a power reserve of 6 months you still need to maintain it's charge for the health of the internal rechargeable battery.
Many of us on this forum have large collections that we like to wear on rotation.
Maybe if you only have one Kinetic you can get away with it but I have two! And that's a problem. Imagine owning a dozen or more, not a huge number if you collect different Kinetics as Seiko has produced many desirable and collectable Kinetics.
Seiko themselves used to make a Kinetic charger but pretty much it was for watchmakers and it has been discontinued as a Seiko product so this new and very much improved version is very much appreciated.

My dad gave me his old one. My watchmaker used that contraption to charge the battery which was totally dead
