Anyone know the price of the original DSOTM on a deployant? I have the GSOTM, and wondering which option would be best for the buck.

Website has it listing for 12k $US, same as the non-deployant

What are you wanting to know exactly? The prices of the deployant straps/clasps combos will virtually be pretty close to the same price. The original DSOTM didn't come with a deployant and a deployant clasp won't fit any of the first gen models' straps. So if I'm understanding your question right you would be better off just picking a strap that you would like to change up with the grey one you already have and just buy the combo or strap from grey dealer and clasp from whoever can get one from. You will have to change the entire grey strap/buckle each time you want to put the purchased deployant combo on the watch but at a later date you could just buy the grey deployant strap and have 3 total options- original grey strap/buckle, grey deployant strap, purchased deployant strap of "x" model and a single ceramic clasp. Then you could sell or put away the grey/buckle combo for collection.

Now if you are just wanting another watch then yes the watches are listed at $12k but can get one for aprox $7k USD maybe $7.5k.

It looks like you have the clasp on the very last hole? Is that a correct perception? What hole did you use on the tang buckle? I have to wear the tang buckle on the 3rd hole leaving only two holes left which doesn't even leave the tail long enough for the second keeper.

I thought I was the only one that had to wear the watch close to the end of the tail but it appears you have wrists close to the size of mine so curious if the strap will even fit me now after seeing your pics.

No, I think it's on about the fourth hole, the two white small circles are the background through the holes in the strap. I'm away St the moment but will check and post more photos when back.

I mean look at how much just the ceramic tang buckle cost. Nothing new but bet we will be able to get the clasp/strap combo from grey dealers for $700-800 soon. Or just get a custom strap ($200-500) that is exquisite and then buy the clasp for aprox $600-700 when you're ready. I personally will go this route at some point since I like matching my shoes, belts, and straps but will opt for an original omega black or brown for my GSOTM as well just because the combo will most likely hit the grey market first.

Hi, I actually have a pitch black calf band on ceramic clasp that I'm selling for $450 usd. I'm on Canada, so $450 us works out to close to $700 cdn. so it's a great deal for those of you in the states. I originally purchased the strap/clasp for my dsotm but I actually still prefer the original cloth strap it cane with, and it doesn't fit on any of my other omegas. It's been worn for a week or so and in perfect condition. Let me know if you're interested and I'll send you pics

I ordered a grey GSOTM strap for my stainless brushed deployant clasp, which will look fine on the grey watch. If I don't like It I can add the $668 ceramic clasp later.

With my pin and buckle strap that came with it, it's either too loose on the 4th hole or too tight on the 5th hole. I tried on the Pitch Black and DSOTM with folding clasp at the OB and they fit my wrist better.

Would be interested in your reporting back when have it on and worn a few days to see if your findings are true in real world wearing. With my GSOTM regular strap and buckle now broken in it wears exactly as you describe on me as well. It was 4-3 at first and now it's 4-5 from the end. I have the black and grey gator deployant straps just waiting on the GREY ceramic to finally go on sale from dealers. They original told me January and now they are saying any day. So who knows.......

I put a brushed deployment onto my grey side and it looks great. I had a similar issue with the in between fitting of the strap but, after 2 months of a better diet, I am solidly on hole number 4.

For the folks in the EU: Just called up Omega Frankfurt and enquired about the GSOTM Strap and Ceramic Clasp.

The ceramic clasp costs ~600EUR and the strap costs ~300-330EUR. The ceramic clasp is not yet available to order in their system so they could not specify an available date. They did say that it is very new and therefore not likely available anytime soon and recommended that I call back in a month or two...

it's definitely available here in the US through my AD.
i would think it HAS to be available to the boutiques. might take a while, but it must be at least available for them to order.

ps- i love it. the extra security is wonderful and the mechanism is top notch.

Could you give me your AD info? I've called every AD and boutique within 250 miles and they all say it's not in their computer to order.

Yea me too. I've bent over backwards trying to buy one and have only been able to get the part number, nothing else. No time-frame, no price, no nothing. Driving me crazy not being able to change up the straps I bought from the other DSOTM variants lol.

I said this in a thread a while back but would be willing to bet anyone selling a grey clasp is selling it off a watch and switching out the tang buckle which would suck for future buyers that would have a serial numbered watch for ceramic deployant yet not have it.
