    image.jpeg Hi, folks. Posting here to see what I can find out about the caseback on my Constellation reference 168010 (1960s).

    The caseback has the correct reference number, but looks different from most. What do we have here?

    Cases are frequently made by contractors and there is acceptable variation between them. SF is likely the contractor ID.

    Perfectly fine .010 case back.
    These later references didn’t have the perlage of the earlier ones.

    Your’s does show signs of rotor rub - so if you haven’t had your watch serviced it might be wise to do so.
