Hi everyone,

I recently acquired this beautiful 14K rose gold Omega and I’m trying to learn more about the case. The watch looks very honest and cohesive under a loupe, but a few details raise questions for me.

-Cal. 286, serial 19,546,559 (1962 production)
-Period-correct cream “Swiss Made” dial and signed crown
-Large 36mm case with heavy faceted lugs
-Inner caseback has perlage finish but no Omega stamps or reference numbers
-Outer caseback is engraved for a Swedish company anniversary (May 1963) and marked 14K / 0.585
My theory is that this could be a Swedish contract case (“Guldklocka”), where the movement and dial were imported separately to avoid high luxury taxes at the time. However, the completely blank inner caseback still makes me unsure.
Has anyone seen a similar oversized rose gold Omega from this period with an unsigned inner caseback? Do you think this looks like a legitimate Scandinavian contract case, or possibly a later marriage of parts?

Any thoughts or examples of similar watches would be greatly appreciated.
