Can anybody identify this vintage Omega watch?

Hi everybody,

I'm starting my Omega collection and I would not like to go in the wrong direction, so I'd like to ask for help.

Can anybody identify this Omega watch?
All I know about it, other than visible on photos provided, is that movement is automatic.
My guess is the 40's, maybe military...

Sorry, I do not have any pics of the inside of the watch right now...
All the information you need is inside. Without it, it's just a guess.

Thanks, I will post it when I get the watch. So far I need o decide asap if I'm buying, and that's all I have...
Can you, please, tell me at least if the dial is original or redone?

That's not true. We can still tell a bit about the watch from the outside. Of course the inside will tell us more, but I've seen enough to know that I'd pass on this watch. Why bother the seller for photos of the inside caseback? It's a waste of everyone's time.

The pictures aren't great, but for starters, the case has been pretty heavily polished and appears unevenly so. It also appears to be a redial, given the unevenness of the minute markers and the thin font. Lastly, the hands don't match the dial style.

Here is a fun analogy for you, @efauser 😁

Someone brings you a pile of dog crap and asks you to identify which dog it came from and what year it likely was made. Would you ask him to send it into the lab to get tested or would you just say walk away? 😉

So I'm telling the OP that if I were him, I'd walk away. 👍

I might be wrong, but it does not look heavily polished to me. Also, I can't see any problem with the dial ... but that's why I'm here looking for help.

Why starting a collection with a dealer/seller who does not provide the information necessary
