Here is my very humble (2 for now) Bell collection, 1971 4006-6037, and 1968 proof 4006-7020 Proof:

I just missed a 4005-7000 in an auction this morning that had the stelux brick bracelet I've been trying to find for months. I would have raised my bid most other days, but a $900 emergency vet bill last night made me reconsider (dog has a painful GI infection but will hopefully recover quickly). When I saw this thread revived, I halfway expected someone to be celebrating their auction win.

That was a nice example and I thought it sold for a fair price (not guilty) but you've got to get your priorities right. This old boy is just starting to nibble away at the fun money.
Worth every penny.

I have picked up a couple more Bell-Matics, a cobbled together 4005 and my first correct 4006 (maybe?)
I've got to thank @dapellegrini for the 4006-7000 as he very graciously stepped aside as he knew this one was high on my wish list (he's got far too many anyway)

Now for the nerdy bit:
In the middle of March 1968 Seiko changed the Suwa logo on the 7000 dials to a fatter version which is on mine.
New logo on top. The 7000 dial was then replaced with the 7070 dial in May so for mine to be correct it would have to have a serial number starting with 83 or 84 (March or April 1968 (are you keeping up?)) Unfortunately the serial number was blurry on the sales listing so I was a bit disappointed when the watch turned up with a 89 S/N. A quick check on Dan's photo bank brought up my watch's twin, also an 89.

Sooo did Seiko produce another batch of 7000 dials in September? or did they never stop making them? or has my watch just got the wrong case back? So is it correct...maybe. Bloody 4006's I knew I should have stuck to 4005's!!
Thanks again to @dapellegrini for making all his hard work freely available.
I've also picked a gold 4005, unfortunately it was sans bracelet but I managed to fit a ebay cheapie that from a distance doesn't look too bad. It will scratch the itch.

I'm happy to say I found an affordable Stelux brick bracelet for my 4005-7000. I had to get it off of a white-dialed watch that's in bad shape. But the price was right for the pair, and I'll likely put the watch on eBay before long.

I plan to put it on my gray-dialed version, though I'm pretty sure this was not an original configuration. Unfortunately, the clasp is missing a pin, but that will be an easy fix in a week or two. Looks like the spring bar on the clasp is a little too long, as well. In any case, I'm so glad to be done searching for this bracelet. Can't wait to wear it.

My 4005 says hi! Bid it off ebay 5 years ago and has been sitting in the box most of the time -- the case is wayyy too sharp and clean and I fear the most with my clumsy hands 😜

I watched that one go through and thought it was in fairly good condition with a nice length on the bracelet, it definitely was a good price. Personally I don't think that each dial came with a specific bracelet (the black dial is shown on all three) I'd imagine you could chose whichever one you fancied.
I just had a nice pick-up on my snugly fitting brick bracelet, scrolling through ebay (as you do) I spotted this hidden jem.
Thankfully it had a removable link and a nice endlink to boot 👍
As an added bonus there was also a couple of spare links for a 1040 bracelet in amongst a pile of Fixoflex detritus so I can wear my 4005 and my C-case this summer, result!
Too early for little dogs.

There are a lot of stand outs in the Bell-matic range. At last count I have 57, but would need to nearly double that to have an example of each dial / model config. Here are some of mine:

"Some" - lol

(what are the two that share a slot with another watch? Identical models?)

I saw Bell-Matics years ago and was always considering getting one but then I found out there are so many variations and it got a bit overwhelming so it's been a back-burner thing ever since. This was the one that got me interested in them but I know little about it:

4006-6031 I belive....

Ya, those are dups I think. I'll need to post up a new photo. Have somewhere around 100 now and the drawer is overflowing. Still chasing ~20 to have a complete "reference set"...

Aah yes, but do you have a retro brown dial and an original gold/silver coffin bracelet, that’s so ugly it’s lovable?

Here’s my bellmatic with numbers that I rarely ever see. Not the original braclet but a very nice watch.

Bell-Matic and big pine cone.

Bracelet is a cheap mesh as she somehow bendt the original so it wont close. If I cant repair the clasp, is there someone that makes a time correct replacement clasp or bracelet?
