looking for a few opinions on this omega master 300
I’ve done a little research and here’s what I know about it
Firstly the bezel incorrect or maybe just have been replaced at some point
The second hand I cannot find any with the same style as this
The movement is 18mill serial which is around 1961 and should have 20mill around 1963 as starting
So has the movement been swapped out.?
Missing crown which I’ll have to get if viable
Is it a fake or a Frankenstein
The Dial is in rather good condition and it glows brightly
I’m obviously just concerned about it authenticity and what to do, do I get a crown for it
are any parts genuine? Thanks

Everything is fake, and the movement comes from another random omega watch. Sorry, but one does not have to be an expert to spot that...

Seamaster 300 market is really a mine field. We saw this kind of post almost every month. You are smart and fortunate to ask here before buying it.

Agree, it’s fake.

Even if the dial wasn’t fake, I wouldn’t say it was in good condition.

I totally understand that and knew it wasn’t 100% just wanted some opinions I know in a collectors eyes it’s bad not being original. But does it hold any value? Thanks for your input and reply

Don’t know why you are asking for experts.
Any fool who can use google can see that’s a dreadful fake.

Bit of a harsh comment I joined this forum to learn and become more knowledgeable in vintage omega etc and I’ve learned a lot so far. I currently have over 60+ in my collection and was looking at something more rare and collectible , obviously these go for a lot more money then I’m usually spending and wanted some advice I’m sorry just wanted second opinions as I’m no expert and wanted some advice with people who are more knowledgeable in them, im learning and I was fully aware that it wasn’t quite correct I just wanted someone else to confirm.. I didn’t know if it was genuine with different parts thrown on it like my comment above being a Frankenstein . I appreciate all your comments and observations obviously I need to do more research thanks to everyone

Dunno if I’m missing something here but I see no issue with the OPs post. They asked if it’s original, have been told it isn’t and seem to have accepted that.
That’s what we encourage people to do - seek advice before buying a vintage watch if you aren’t sure (or certainly while you still have the option to return)

Totally agree! This was settled in the first answer, so no need to post snarky remarks.

I am among those "fools" that dont know every iteration of fake SM300 and Im guessing Im not alone.

As it said "there are no stupid questions only stupid answers"

How have I possibly come to the wrong place ? Reread the questions I’ve asked! I’m looking for advice and this is exactly the place to come to get answers from more knowledgeable people in the field ,if anything you’re in the wrong place I don’t need your comments or opinions if you don’t know anything about the watch in question so move on I’m here for people that are willing to help and I really appreciate everyone who has done thank you . In no way am I showing it off and looking for so called hearts and thumbs up I’m literally looking for advice…

Why?

"I’m not a watch expert, so I’m offering this watch for parts or repair " + bad pictures, so what?

Because it is obvious fake/counterfeit item? Even if I`ll consider, that the seller is naive and unexperienced, it is still a fake watch and the listing should be stopped.
