But that's how the Swiss play. They won't be told by ANYONE how they can run THEIR business. Look at what Cartier / Richemont and Rolex did when they were forced to offer parts to independents - they made the qualifications ridiculous to get an account. If the US courts make a move, the Swiss have a way to make a mockery of it.

For the record, I don't like it either since free enterprise is a cornerstone of America. You do have to give the Swiss makers a point or two for the way they control their brand though.

One of the main reasons I refuse to buy any new watches. That and the fact that I'm cheap. 馃榿

And as much as you folks are knocking Costco, if you read the fine print, they will issue you a full refund if you have any problem with any watch you purchase from them. Go find an AD or even Omega that will match that policy. Make fun of Costco if you have to, but at least they fully understand the concept of competition.

Which is why the Swiss (and most other luxury brands) hate them.

Quote function still not working so bear with me...

There is a problem in the forum software with IE11 for those who have upgraded to Windows 8.1. One solution is to right click on the quote arrow and choose the option to open in new window. Another is to switch to Chrome. I've chosen the latter.

Hope this helps,

The open in new window works - thanks. Hopefully the glitch will be resolved soon.

Yup up I learned that from Samuel L. Jackson

5 gallons of mayo? What do you think I'm from Quebec or something? LOL! (Quebeckers like to dip their French Fries in mayo, rather than ketchup....).

If Costco has a watch I want at a good price, I would not hesitate. Honestly, I have more faith in them than I do in most manufacturers after getting my Blancpain back with the wrong hands installed after service by Swatch and my SD back with a scratched bezel insert from RSC. I had to argue with BP to get it corrected and RSC didn't charge me since they didn't identify it as needing service, but it was a shock to see when I took the macros for my FS thread when it returned from RSC.
