So quick backstory I decided to buy my first vintage omega, I visited my watchmaker and he said he has a constellation he personally checked and I trust him I snapped some quick photos not very clear but I would like to ask if the price is fair and the condition of the dial is good enough , I know I should have photos of the movement and crown but I will surely check them before buying.

Hard to judge the dial from the out-of-focus photos, plus the hands are covering a lot of the text. What I can see looks okay, but I would still hope for better photos. Case like pretty polished, although once again the photos are not the best for judging. It would come down to if you are okay with a case like this, and how much the seller wants for it.

The thing that bothers me is that I think the omega letters should be silver if I am not mistaken , also there should be a silver star below the constellation letters

    +1 on the above.
likely a 14902 if the dial fonts are correct.
If the Omega and star are blackened it’s a sure sign of moisture ingress - hence the dial is spotted too.

The crystal is pretty grotty so you would have to look at the dial through the grot to asses it properly.

    replacement crown.
    BOR is a bonus

I would personally save my money and spend more on a watch in better condition

This is the main question, and only you can answer that. You are the only one who has seen it in-person, and it is a subjective question. If you are satisfied with the dial, then we can discuss price. It's certainly not a "collector-quality" example.

    no not a bargain price.
if the dial was good then with the BOR it would be an okay price as the case is a little soft but not disastrous.
I know that your watch maker has checked it out but with the gunk around the crystal, blackened furniture and spotting on the dial, you have to also ask if moisture has affected the movement

Maybe I will ask him to clean it,change the crystal ,and polishing the bor bracelet without changing anything else on it and check if I like it . I think it will look much more attractive than now

"Small fortune" is obviously a relative term, but I think that many people would advise you to buy the best condition watch you can buy within your budget. Perhaps it will not be a Constellation, but you could find a nice Geneve or Seamaster. Usually, one regrets buying a watch in mediocre condition.

I’m sure it will look much better with a new crystal (cyclops crystals have no place on a Connie anyway....) but it depends on how visible the spotting is.
Absolutely no polishing of the case to maintain the remaining facets.
It would help if you could get an in focus pic of the dial as it’s impossible to tell if it’s correct from your current pics.

He said me that omega had an option for a cyclops crystal but I dont know if its true or not. I will definitely get some quality pictures of the dial if I decide to buy it and the movement also

Cyclops crystals were special order - very few Connies have them (thankfully) as they just look clumsy.

There is actually a very nice hand-winding Seamaster listed in the Private Sale forum right now.
