Hi guys
First post here so be kind.
New to the Omega world and I fell in love with the Tokyo 2020 Panda.
Getting one in the UK is so challenging and pricing is between £10,000 and £11,000 all tax in, importing is not possible with 20% VAT + imports fees.. I’ve been offered one In excellent condition for £10,500 which will be a personal buy not an investment buy so appreciate Chrono24 states it’s already a £1000 loss on value, but I’m not too concerned.
What are your thoughts?

secondly, would this kit fit the bracelet at least even if it doesn’t fit the whole watch?

https://www.styxwatch.com/product-page/Speedmaster005

It looks like a scratch magnet and will be worn sporadically as I have daily beaters..

Many thanks in advance..

Just don't think the stickers are necessary or desirable. These watches aren't real scratch magnets in my experience. Just wear and enjoy, no need to take special precautions.

No totally value your opinion on this thanks, and totally understandable, I’m unsure if the bracelet is the same as the standard speedy that’s all or if this Panda had a special bracelet.
Any opinions on the cost although I think this would be hard as I’d expect the Uk to be a minimum of 10-20% higher than the States etc…

It has the normal bracelet for a recent 1861 based Speedmaster. Pretty immune to serious wear and tear in normal use.

These Tokyo editions have seen market increases over the last few months, whether or not they are reasonable is your call. Omega hasn't made too many true panda dials over the years; Mitsukoshi, Apollo 11 35th and this one, but they are desireable with collectors and tend to go up in value, or at least hold their own.

very nice choice,

i was like you when i got my first Omega and was thinking about various protective film options but in the end i just decided its too much hassle and just enjoy the watch and marks is part of that experience

also i don't think these stickers will stand exposure to water very well

I bought an 8 X 10 piece of Zagg screen protector film. I cut a single piece for each watch I use it on. I only put the film on the clasp which protects it from desk dings and scratches. You really can't see the film and I think it looks factory.

I’ve Invisishield on all my watches on that are not still factory stickered and they are fully protected and I personally can’t see them at all, I just like my watches to stay super pristine when I wear them, and as you say clasp is the most important part. I think I’m going to order the kit and just see what it’s like even if I just use the clasp section.
I’m seeing the watch this morning, it will be my first Omega so let’s see how I get on.
I don’t like paying over retail ever, but appreciate this isn’t possible and think it’s an amazing looking watch.

Seriously, don't waste your money on that film kit, the watch will look like hell after applying it, the smaller pieces won't last a week. At most, put a piece of 3m paint protector film on the outer clasp if you are concerned about desk diving scratches. You can get a small piece of it on ebay: https://ebay.to/3B3P2zj choose the 3" x 6" sample size for like $3 shipped.
