The article seems to suggest that Omega will abide by an owner’s instructions about what not to do during the servicing of a vintage watch - for example, not replacing a tritium dial and hands. I would not make that assumption nor would I trust Omega to preserve the vintage character of any Omega watch. It’s a much safer option to use a qualified independent watchmaker with access to an Omega parts account and who specializes in servicing vintage watches.
