Is it possible that my omega hasn't got a fast date set. I'm trying to change the date but it looks like the crown does not have two settings. Movement 564.

the 564 is definitely a quick set date
first setting is to move the hands -have you found this position?
second setting will advance the date
it is common not to want to pull too hard to change the date when you first get a 564 (or any vintage watch for that matter)
if it is not pulling out easily - (very) carefully apply a little more pressure
if you don't find the second second setting or the date doesn't change when pulled out and pushed back in then your watch may need a service - the quick set date is a function which is known to 'go' on a 564

hope that helps

Thanks for the information! It has been serviced very recently. I was a little bit to careful and I found the setting. You have to pull a little bit harder and than it jumps to the next day. Than you have to push and pull till you are at the right date. Is this the correct way? Normally I'm used to a second setting where you rotate the crown to change the date.

Yep correct
Glad you found it
Just be careful - as I mentioned the quick set is known to be less than 'robust'
If the crown doesn't push back in easily don't force it
Rotate it slightly then push it in
What you'll find is that you end up changing the date when all you want to do is move the hands to set the time - a real pain! 😟

And don't set the date on these 564 movements between 9pm and 3am or you could damage the movement.

The watch has model number 168.018 and the serial number: 263.940.23. It's the de Luxe version of solid gold, you can see the sign on the dial: it says 'OM Swiss Made Om', this means or massif (solid gold).

I still couldn't find another model with the OM sign. Is there someone who has a watch with the same sign? Or knows a watch/forum with a similar watch?

Would like to know more about this piece. All information is very welcome.

Does the case back say 168.010 or 168.018? (The dial and crown indicate 168.018 to me. )
You where right!

I see you're still enjoying it. 😀

There are solid gold dials on many models, more commonly from late 60s and after: https://www.google.ca/search?q=omeg...ved=0ahUKEwjF1qTG8pnRAhUlyoMKHbGFA78Q_AUICSgC.

Many of them do if you look more closely.
I watched closely the google picture link dials but couldn't find any OM sign. A lot of them have the T sign.

I can buy this DeVille for around €500. I think it’s a beautiful watch. But I have one concern. On the certificate there is a reference but I can’t find a corresponding watch via google. Do you think the certificate is legit?

Looks legit but see if they will give you a pic of the movement and inside case back.

Dont think this has been written in this thread before, but with respect to your solid gold watch, the only way you could get more information on it is to apply for an extract of the archives From Omega

i have 4 EoA now -2 for Speedies and 2 for 18 solId gold Connies - lots of threads on the “value” of an EoA on this forum, but for me it solved 2 mysteries for my Connies

one confirmed my 168.005 dog leg pie pan was 18k solid rose gold (that was delivered to Angola in 1966),

and the second EoA confirmed my 14381 lyre lug pie pan was delivered to Ireland in 1962 - and this Finally explained what the mysterious hallmarks were that were stamped on the caseback (on the medallion, of all places) - they were Irish import marks ( the lady with a harp ( Hibernia symbol) and U for date year 1962, plus 2 others for 18 and 750)

so for me, the EoAs were well worth the value
